Ewa Carrier, MD

Co-Founder, Rinnovare Labs™

Dr. Carrier is a physician–scientist and seasoned biotech executive with 15+ years of experience advancing high-impact clinical programs from translational research through Phase I–III development and regulatory engagement. She completed her medical residency at Stanford University, followed by Hematology–Oncology and Bone Marrow Transplant Fellowship training at University of California, San Francisco, where she also served on faculty. She later held an academic appointment at University of California, San Diego, within the Bone Marrow Transplant Division.

Dr. Carrier is a recognized pioneer in stem cell and cellular therapies, having contributed to the development of reduced-intensity (“mini”) allogeneic transplants and led multiple first-in-world programs, including the first IND for prenatal stem cell transplantation in inborn errors of metabolism and the first stem cell transplant for rapidly progressive myasthenia gravis. She is also an inventor on patented bioreactor-based technology enabling scalable, off-the-shelf red blood cell production.

In industry, Dr. Carrier has held senior leadership roles overseeing global Phase I–III programs across oncology and rare diseases, with a proven track record of regulatory success, accelerated development strategies, and execution in complex indications. Her experience spans biologics (including anti-CTGF monoclonal antibodies), antibody–drug conjugates, and small molecules, with leadership roles at FibroGen, Inc., Boehringer Ingelheim, and NovaRx Corporation.

As Chief Medical Officer of Rinnovare Labs™, Dr. Carrier provides strategic medical and clinical development leadership focused on capital-efficient execution, risk mitigation, and value inflection—bridging breakthrough science with disciplined development to advance differentiated therapies toward clinical and commercial success.
